I’ve wanted a simple terminal command to view tables and fixtures for a while. With the help of Claude Code Opus 4.5, I built the epl cli.

If you type in epl you’ll get the standings table.
If you type in epl --fixtures you’ll get the list of fixtures and you can navigate across all the 380 matches.
About the English Premier League Standings Table
The English Premier League is a football tournament in England where 20 teams compete with each other at home and away. Three points for a win, one for a draw, and none for a loss.

For the data, I chose the Wikipedia page as it is friendly, scrappable, frequently updated, and in the public domain.
